We believe that cultural exchange trips have a huge role to play in building our shared future in this diverse and globalised world. 'Loving your neighbour' no longer applies to just the people on your street, but also the people you connect with on Facebook or read about in the news - therefore, we seek to create opportunities for you to meet people from different cultures and faiths, and for you to experience daily life in a different part of the world. Our cultural exchange programs are designed with a strong emphasis on relationship - they're not just about seeing the sites or learning about the history, they are about getting to know the people!
The trip was even better than expected. We met some very inspirational people, and learned about the conflict and how it affects people's daily lives. I learned that I definitely had some misconceptions and assumptions before coming, and it has made me reflect on how I would act if I was in a similar situation, and how I can try to be more tolerant and positive in difficult situations.
